With Momenti di luce, I wished to show the beauty of our daily life whilst looking at the world without judging it. Walks among the markets of Rome, the household items used by my grandmother, the Gibson loaned by a friend, the red tomato positioned carefully in a basket ready for sale or a dusty demijohn forgotten in a cellar, can all be moments of art for us to share together. For this reason, in every object and in every landscape that I look at, I search for the wonder of the memories of those who lived them, to then try to transcend the passing of time and make a beautiful painting. – Simone Piccioni 2021
